it is sad that we lost him. He was family for me. 1 week before he died he was with us in delhi and we had so much fun spending time. I was there for his cremation and just could not agree to the fact that he is no more there. May his soul rest in peace and i will always keep thinking of him and pray for him where ever he is. Life is so short that we dont even realize that we need to make the best of what we have and live it to the fullest |

Varun was the School Captain when I was shooting my film at Welham in 97. Respectful to his elders and always warm and understanding with the juniors, Varun was truly one great guy. I am really sorry for the familys loss and pray that his soul rest in peace. |

Varun was my batchmate & housemate and above all a dear friend. Varun had a passion for literature and was a superb athlete. Anyone who has seen him perform the perfect jack-knife or seen him play hockey knows what i am talking about. Above all, I remember Varun to be a kind and courageous soul. I had not been in touch with him as frequently as i would have liked since school. I am deeply saddened by his loss. I guess this teaches us that life is fleeting and we should never let old friendships fall by the wayside. Friends like varun made welham the fabled place that it was for me. I remember the sneaky midnight swims in the height of summer that both of us used to take in principal Kandharis backyard. The ever present danger of getting caught "swimming without lifeguards and in the middle of the night" used to heighten the excitement. Varun had a magnetic personality and was well-liked by all and sundry. Seniors got along well with him, juniors looked up to him. We will miss him dearly. Our prayers are with his family - Varun will live on in our hearts forever as the bright, kind , courageous and handsome man we know. |

I am absolutely stunned by the news of Varuns demise. I remember him from school days and had met him as recently as in December in the Chandigarh gettogether when the two of us had vowed to stay in touch. Varun was an upcoming talent, an extremely creative person and a wonderful human being. My thoughts and prayers goes out to his family and may they find strength in thier bereavement. My heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences. |

He had an eye catching personality. I remember him for his excellence in sports and studies during the school days. With his potential he could have achieved a ton. We have lost a gem. May his soul rest in peace. |

Hi ! I am deeply saddened by this loss. He was my junior but my housemate- I would request whoever is looking after the website to remove the "New!" sign off the home page informing everyone of the demise and have something like sad passing away or demise of Varun Puri.. it just sounds very disrespectful what we have on the site now |
